Opimae (oh-pih-MAY) began the way so many beautiful things do — with two people falling in love and realizing they could create something together that neither could make alone.
Patrick moves through the world with his heart leading the way. A numbers guy by trade, but known in our circle as a passionate cook and natural host, he has always known how to turn simple ingredients and ordinary moments into something deeply memorable. Whether he is welcoming friends into our home, perfecting a new recipe, or wandering a wild trail with Evangelina, he listens to intuition and flair, creating ambiances and scents for every room that feel alive, generous, and full of joy.
A long-time yoga adept and coach, Evangelina sees the world through a biotechnologist’s quiet understanding of our surroundings’ wonders. After years in laboratories, she brings an extraordinary eye for detail and a deep respect for the elegant chemistry hidden inside every natural transformation. Where Patrick follows heart and instinct, she listens to structure and possibility, making sure every layer is as honest and precise as it is beautiful.
When we met, it was one of those rare, immediate connections. Not just love at first sight, but the sudden, joyful recognition that our two ways of being fit perfectly. His flair for the poetic, her precision with the poetic. His desire to create memorable moments, her ability to make them last.
Avid hikers and nature lovers, we began traveling the United States and Canada for this project with new eyes. Everywhere the continent reminded us how incredibly vast, lush, and generous it is. And we fell back in love — this time with scents and landscapes: the breathtaking canyons of Arizona and California, the salt air of the New England coast, the boreal groves of Canada.
We believe the richest beauty is often the one that grows closest to home.
